HOW WILL WE SURVIVE?

in #steemchurch8 years ago

Dear community, dear friends, Welcome to my blog.

British physicist Stephen Hawking, who recently died, asked a question on an Internet Yahoo forum: "In a world of political, social, and environmental chaos, the question arises, how can the human race survive the next 100 years? ? "...around 29,000 people, responded that they did not know the answer".

This made me think of the Church, which is modeling and revealing of the times. For the time being, I looked in the Bible for an answer that could be a guide for me.

DOES JESUS CHRIST SAY ABOUT THIS THEME?

I realized that Jesus never wanted people to live in this world as long as possible, harboring hope in the current system. "Whoever wants to earn a living will lose it, and whoever loses his life for the good of Jesus will win it." That was his motto of survival.

Living alone to survive is worth nothing. But Jesus said a lot about a worthwhile life. He affirmed that a worthwhile life means that God is present in this life, that his power is expressed, that a person is caught and filled by his Holy Spirit.

Every moment of such a life is an expression of the Kingdom of God, an expression of how God has imagined our life here on earth.

Jesus also said something about limiting life on this earth. He said that he will come again at the end of time and that everyone will know that he is coming in the name of God. Those who already know Jesus will be brought to eternity by Jesus on this day. He or she will survive, not just 100 years.

Those who do not know Jesus will literally go to the concrete wall with their train, either within 100 years or at the time set by God.

These are serious words that Jesus leaves this world. But the question arrives in the marrow. If today we seriously question how we can survive in the chaos of this moment and its environmental, economic and political challenges, it is too short to start programs and actions that often fail because of our selfishness.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

The perspective of God must be included. In the next 100 years, it will be important to know Jesus, follow him and give him space in all decisions, plans and strategies. The more people who do it, the more people will find when they return, who belong to Him and will literally survive.

I heard a preacher say, "When you come before God, He will ask you: What did you do with my son?

There is no doubt that Jesus Christ has the most prominent place in the universe, that He depends on everything. He is the reason of existence and is legally empowered to help those who through faith come close to Him and will survive.

Therefore, Jesus is made sure of a better covenant. And the other priests became many, because by death they could not continue; but this one, because it remains forever, has an immutable priesthood; Therefore, he can also save for ever those who come to God through him, always living to intercede for them.

He tells a parable that apparently has nothing to do with the great designs of the next 100 years. It is a parable that describes the very personal relationship of a poor woman in the margins of society that fights for her right. However, in the context of Jesus' talk about the end of the world, this story also acquires meaning far beyond a single life. It is a guide to how we, as individuals, should shape the next 100 years and how to watch over Jesus.

Luke 18: 1-8

Jesus also told them a parable about the need to pray always, and not to faint, saying: There was a judge in a city, who neither feared God nor respected man. There was also a widow in that city, who came to him, saying, "Do me justice from my adversary." And he did not want for some time; but after this he said within himself: Though I neither fear God, nor respect man, however, because this widow is annoying me, I will do her justice, lest by continual coming, my patience be exhausted. And the Lord said: Hear what the unjust judge said. And will God not do justice to his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will it take to answer them? I tell you that soon he will do them justice. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?

Jesus brings us this parable in our experiences. He describes the truly unjust judge without morality, without respect, without a mission statement. But this unjust judge enters and leads a soliloquy. He decides to give justice to the widow. Not for reasons of justice, but to finally have peace before her.

Jesus did not stop before this unjust judge. He did not say: Look, such an unjust judge is God. He pretends to be deaf, but at some point he wants to rest and then he gives you everything you want.

Jesus remembered that God wants to have mercy on us, that He wants nothing better than the fact that we, as His children, receive everything we need. Jesus made it clear that the judge of the widow was not deaf, although it was unfair.

How much will Heavenly Father hear when we bring our petitions before him?

We can learn from the meeting of the widow with her judge. The decisive thing is God. Your decision to help us is your thing and not force us to do it.

HOW WILL WE SURVIVE THE NEXT 100 YEARS?

Jesus tells us to keep praying and not to stop doing it. God will meet us and show us his will for the coming years. Your answers to our prayers help us to turn away from ourselves and look at the worries of this world. Not in spacecraft is the solution, but Jesus Christ is the solution that wants to work here and now with his spirit of peace, justice and preservation of creation.

The earth and its fullness are the Lord's, the world, and those who dwell in it. Because he founded it on the seas, and he affirmed it on the rivers. Who will ascend the mountain of the Lord, and who will stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to vain things, nor sworn deceitfully. He will receive blessing from Jehovah, and justice from the God of salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek him, Of those who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Selah

The world and its desires will pass, but the one who trusts in Jehovah remains forever.Jehovà is the King of the universe, he rules over all that is in heaven and earth, no one escapes from it.

Amen my dear sc-v, thanks for comment

Certainly the world and its desires are ephemeral. They pass briefly, and in the face of political, social and environmental chaos, it is a sign that the world system is in decline, but we Christians pray as the widow, for our redemption. My regards, brother.
