EPAFHRAS IN A GLOBALIZED WORLD

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

Community Dear!

"Epaphras in globalization".

Biblical context

...You learned it from Epaphras, our beloved servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf. Colossians 1: 7

The sacred pages are full of examples of people who broke boundaries and dedicated their lives in proclaiming the message of the Good News to the world. Epaphras is one of those characters who decided to live intensely the truths of the Gospel.

Some Biblical interpreters say:

Epaphras, probably, became Ephesus and after being instructed by the Apostle Paul, he returned to his home in Colosseum, in order to proclaim the Good News of salvation. And the result was the birth of the Church of Colosenses.

With the growth of that community, problems soon arose and Epaphras sought Paul to be guided on these issues. Pablo was imprisoned under house arrest. When Epaphras finds him, he decides to help him and pray for the church in Colosa.

At the end of his letter, Paul quotes Epaphras and how he supported that church in prayer, striving so that the brothers could know God's plans.

"Epaphras greets you, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, always fighting for you in your prayers, so that they may keep you firm, perfect and fully secure in all of God's will" (Colossians 4.12)

He struggled, struggled in prayer on behalf of the Christians of Colosa. Prayer instead of work is one of the greatest undertakings we can undertake so that the will of God can be established on Earth. God wants to awaken to the true dimension of prayer where he positions us as channels so that his plans are fulfilled throughout the Earth.

Epaphras not only prayed and interceded for the brothers of Colossus, but said that he interceded for the churches of Laodicea and Hierapolis. (Colossians 4:13)

He held three cities in prayer, contributing to the fulfillment of divine purposes in those places. What a wonderful example we can see in that man's life!

At that time, geographic knowledge was limited and there was no concept of ** Globalization ** so mentioned in our century and yet, we know that this man was helping Pablo in jail, praying for the Colosa brothers, as well as by brothers from two other cities.

God allow that in the chain of blocks we can have men and women constant in prayer as Epaphras, who pray for the cities that are unassisted, for the exploited countries, for the poor, ect

When we think of Epaphras in relation to our days, we observe that we live in a globalized world; that emerged from the decade of the 70s and that made possible the union of countries and peoples. This union gives us the feeling that the planet is getting smaller and smaller with the advance of communication via the internet, making information faster and faster. Generating thus, several benefits; as ease to travel, quick access to all types of information, among others.

GLOBAL AWARENESS

One of the tips I received from @sirknight was: write in steemchurch globally, to the world in general, clearly and accurately.

It is in the face of this reality that God is awakening the Church to that global consciousness, where our actions will go beyond local, regional limits and will go beyond borders, influencing nations, continents, with the good news of salvation. And like Epaphras, who served Paul in prison, but also prayed for the churches located in three cities; Today we can use steemy other information networks and pray for changes in our Countries.

If my people, on whom my name is invoked, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins, and I will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

May our prayers, confessions of faith and actions surpass the territorial limits and influence countries and continents, so that in these last days the knowledge of the Lord may be raised throughout the Earth.

May we be the Epaphras of that generation!

Waoo interesting story I had not stopped to study about this biblical character, his example is true we should not stop in one place we should have a global thought like Christ.

Mark 16:15
15 And he said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

If Sister Lorennys, Jesus said until the end of the world. I invite you to investigate more about Epaphras

Good study brother, I began to investigate, Epaphras was a man of prayer and, although his biblical biography is short, we remember the fact that "little is much when God is in it". Tradition says that James, the stepbrother of the Lord Jesus, was called "Camel Knees". "Because of his callous knees as a result of long hours devoted to prayer, and Epaphras could well be considered another" Camel Knees "of the Bible.

Global conscience, as a Christian virtue we must fulfill the supreme call of Jesus, announce his true word in all the terrestrial globe.

Well said sister, very much thanks you.

We must take care in the use of the word 'globalisation' Your Grace.

The Devil has seized upon this 'globalisation' initiative to enslave humanity and only his minions do prosper.

Strategically we must fight 'globalisation' in its current centralised form, by reinstating national sovereignty for the benefit of working families.

In the future, globalisation may have a role to play - but this will be as a decentralised system, based on blockchain technology. Open-sourced and transparent. With control spread across the globe. The way God envisaged it.

Yes, SK, in its centralized form we can not proclaim this term, with respect to the expansion of the gospel, if we can have a global conscience, so that the Gospel reaches the most remote corners of the earth.

Good comment, a very wise way to clarify on your part. Many here, will learn to distinguish the difference that exists, between the destructive vision of the powerful to enslave and, the vision Christ to preach that we must go to the ends of the earth with the gospel of freedom.

Thank you

Well said Brother, This theme of the night I loved it.😄

Interesting the two fields of vision.

The gap that opens up between the rich and the poor and the dispossessed of the world has plunged misery into a growing number of people in the third world. Despite all the promises of the 1990s, that globalization would reduce poverty in the world, the number of poor people since then has grown by almost one hundred million individuals.

However, in evangelistic terms, the Church has the fundamental role of carrying the message of love throughout the earth.

Very true Kristal and well said.

The battle the poor and working class is the same battle that Jesus was fighting against, that Mosses was fighting against, that Noah fled from and that so many others throughout history have had to fight.

The same promises of a global security through a globalist / socialist doctrine has only ever resulted in slavery and death. This time it is no different.

However the winds of change blow hard now, as God is moving his pieces across the board.

Yes SK, you are giving me an idea for a publication. 👍😃

This common factor lies in the adaptation of mthe State Administration in both cases to the demands of globalization. Local communities are encouraged to participate competitively in the globalized economy, I think that when analyzing the networks, I believe in the de-centralization analyzing the networks, arriving at the conclusion that it depends on the characteristics of the system and the political culture in which they operate.

God bless you emilio brother as well as you have to rescue the souls you also have to bring brothers to steemchurch

We are working on both my dear Angelystovar

We are in difficult times where evil multiplies in such a way that many Christians do not go out to preach, Brother Emilio are my ideas or is it happening? in steemchurch is not getting many publications?

Hello José Thanks for asking, currently, the statistics that there is a proliferation of the Gospel through social networks. In the countries where they persecute Christians ppr profess their faith, the expansion of the gospel continues without stopping. Many of the people who write here, we are also doing by this means and by our geographical spaces. We do not have to stop.

God bless you.
EC

Jose, I'm worried about the score you have, what happened?

It is unfortunate. Look for help with professionals in the field, I could give you bad advice about this.
