STEEMCHURCH: WIVES BE SUBMISSIVE

I think this has been a issue since beginning of time and till now, wives of this generation fail to do this, we now have few women out there that are ready to be submissive to their husbands,even if you choose your wife in the church is not guaranteed that she'll be submissive. we will be looking at the scriptures and what God said about wives.

(1 peter 3:1-6)
1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Word for today:"wives in the same way be submissive to your husband'sso that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives." v. 18&2

Here we see the primary role of wife to her husband-submission.this is also emphasize by Paul in Eph.5:22."wive submit to your husband __as to the lord"__submission of a wife to her husband is therefore a very spiritual exercise. Unless wife is submissive to her husband, she cannot be submissive to the lord. Her act of submission to the Lord will be unacceptable.
When some women think of beauty, what comes to their minds is "outward adornment such as _braided hair and the wearing of gold jewellery and fine clothes"_v.3. They do not only think that way, they are very conscious about that way and eventually they act that way.

For the Christian woman there is a contrary instruction: instead it should be that of your _inner-self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God's sight"v. 4
Instead means "on the contrary","rather". This point to where the priority should be,the inner-self, the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit.
