SteemChurch: The Four Horsemen of the apocalypse

The Four Horsemen of the apocalypse are shown in the Revelation given to John of Patmos by Jesus Christ, John wrote the Book of Revelations/Apocalypse through visions revealed to him by Christ.

Revelation Chapter 1 Verses 1-3

1. A Revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place and he sent in Signs through Him to his slave John.

2. And who bore witness to the word God gave and to the witness Jesus Christ gave, yes, to all the things he saw.

3. Happy is he who reads aloud and those who hear the words of this prophecy and who observe the things written in it, for the appointed time is near.

The Book Of Revelation is the last book of the New Testament Written by John The Apostle Of Patmos to the Seven Congregations(Seven Churches Of Asia); Ephesus, Smyrna , Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.

The Four Horsemen are beings summoned by the Lamb of God in the Book of Revelation Chapter 6 when the Lamb opened the first four seals of the scrolls;

Revelation Chapter 6 verse 1

And I Saw When The lamb opened one of the seven seals and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder “Come!”

Revelation Chapter 6 Verse 2

And I Saw, and look! A white horse, and the one seated on it had a bow; he went out conquering and to complete his quest

Christ the Conqueror is the rider of the White horse the warrior-king who will conquer the earth and seize total control from the dragon; Satan.
The White Horse Symbolizes Righteous Warfare Carried out the By the Messiah to cleanse the earth.

Revelation Chapter 6 verses 3-4

3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say: “Come!”

4 Another came out, a fiery-colored horse, and it was granted to the one seated on it to take peace away from the earth so that they should slaughter one another and he was given a great sword.

The Rider of the red horse is the Horseman of war who has been granted authority to take away peace from the surface of the earth and he will wage war against the governments of the world as seen by Apostle John.

Revelation Chapter 6 Verses 5-6

5 When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say: “Come!” and I saw a Black horse, and the one seated on it had a pair of scales in his hand.

6 I heard what sounded like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say: “A quart of wheat for denarius and three quarts of barley for a denarius and do not harm the olive oil and the wine.

The Rider of the black horse is the Horseman of Famine who will spread hunger to the world, food price will skyrocket as shown in verse 6; a quart of wheat will cost one denarius, denarius is the currency of old and is worth a day’s pay.

Revelation Chapter 6 Verses 7-8

7 When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say: “Come!:”

8 And I saw, and look! A pale horse, and the one seated on it had the name Death. And the Grave was closely following him And Authority was given them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with a long sword and with food shortage and with deadly plague and by the wild beasts of the earth.

The Fourth and last horseman is the Horseman of Death who has been given dominion over a fourth of the earth to kill.

Horsemen on the Move

I believe the horsemen started moving following the event of the First World War in 1914. We all know Christ ascended and was crowned king, He threw out Satan to the earth after the War in Heaven which I will talk about in tomorrow revelation.

• The Horseman of war who was given authority to take away peace from the earth has since plagued the earth with countless wars; World War 1(1914-1918), World War 2(1939-1945), Napoleon Civil War (1799-1815), American Civil war (1861-1865), The Hundred Years War between France and England(1337-1453).

• The Horseman of Death is also on the move, bringing with him different plagues which have claimed hundreds of millions of lives over the past century. Plagues which claimed most lives in the 19th century were;

Tuberculosis claimed millions of lives globally in the 19th century.

The Great influenza Epidemic of 1918, the Spanish flu was one of the most deadly outbreaks which wiped out over 90 million people as it was spread by soldiers returning home from World War 2, this postwar outbreak left the world in shambles.

The Bubonic Plague also called the Black Death reduced the population of Asia and Europe by half.

The Yellow Fever, a life threatening disease related to malaria claims over 30,000 lives in a year

The small pox caused by the variola virus killed over 90 million people, even with the invention of the vaccine, 2 million lives were lost globally in the 1960s.

Cholera outbreak, malaria, Aids and polio were other plagues which claimed hundreds of millions of lives.

• I believe the horseman of famine is also on the move, the earth is plagued with shortage of food, and population is increasing with each passing hour with fewer food supply. Food prices have skyrocketed and the demand for food has never been so high.

• The White horseman will be the one to reverse the effects of all the other horsemen, he will be bring peace to the earth with abundant food supply.

He said in;

Revelation 21 Verse 4

And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
He promised to make all things anew in:

Revelation 21 verse 5

And the One seated on the throne said: Look! I am making all things new. Also he says “Write, for these words are faithful and true.
