A priest leads a group along the Via Dolorosa towards the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, in the Old City of Jerusalem. People from around the world walk and pray at each station of the Cross, known to some as the same route Jesus followed as he carried the Cross to his crucifixion. Others note that archaeologists often agree Jesus' trial by Pilate took place outside the western walls of the Old City, suggesting the route of Jesus' passion may have been from a gate at the western walls, a shorter distance to the crucifixion site at the Calvary.
God bless!
