Good more earning Steemians, the last time, we talked about helpful hints for a happy marriage. You can read it up HERE,however, today we will treat another serious issue in Christianity.

A lot of times, when we are faced with life challenges and instead of speaking positivity into the situation, we resort to saying negative things.

1 Samuel 17:45-47

David said to the Philippines, "you come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord almighty, the Lord of the armies of Israel, whom you have defiled. This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and beast of the earth, and the while world will know that there is a God in lsrael. All those who gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves, for the battle is the lord's, and he will give all of you into our hands".

From the above passage, the people of Israel, were faced with a vast Philistine army and it was obvious that they were going to lose the battle if they were to engage in it. Also, the Philistine champion GOLIATH who was know to be fierce, strong and mighty in battle coupled with his gigantic looks, was intimidating the israelite army.

Instead of the israelites to over look the negative words being said by the giant Goliath, they allowed themselves to dwell and sink deep in it. This in turn, made their faith in God to weaver and at this point, some of them started with resolving to the nearest and easiest way of escape. They lost their pride as a nation just by intimidation and the battle was already lost even before it began. But when David came, the picture was repainted and hope came alive. God couldn't come to their aid because there was no atom of faith in them, they believed the situation right in front of them and allowed it engulf them.

David did not allow those negative words to influence him or get hold of his mind, he fought those words with positive words and God came to his aid. David won the battle and his name was elevated from that day.

We can all be like David, or even better, the Bible says, only if we have faith like that of a mustard seed, that we can move mountains. So what is that situation in your life that seems to have swallowed your faith and hope in God? The truth is that, the devil is always looking for ways to hinder God from coming to your aid. He attacks you using sin, and if he can't get you through that, he comes with fear and anxiety. He paints an illusion for you and waits for you to fall victim.

I have come with a message for you that says "GOD IS OUR HOPE", no matter how dark the tunnel may seem or how terrible the circumstances may be. Why not hold on to God? No wonder the song writer says "trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey" so having faith in God is as good as trusting him no matter the situation.

Thank you for reading!

David was man after God's heart, he Had faith in God Completely thats why he said "he will go to the battle with no sword but with the word of God"
The Word of God is a Sword Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a l discerner of the thoughts and intents m of the heart."
