Morning Devotional: MAN's OBLIGATION TO GOD.

Beautiful morning Steemians, the last time, we talked about THE STORM and how to manage the storms of life. You can read it up HERE.
Today, we will be looking at another very interesting topic which is man's obligation to God, in other words, man's sole duty to God. Now, if you have read through Ecclesiastes, you will find out that King Solomon was talking about all the things in life he tried and found them to be disappointing, the intellectual pursuit of knowledge, the physical pursuit of pleasure and the material pursuit of wealth, then he drew the bottom line saying "Everything is meaningless.
Now penning and tabling his last divinely inspired thoughts, he wraps up his life's message with these words;" hear the conclusion of the matter", what a big stuff! King Solomon is about to give us his bottom line evaluation of a life well-lived, a life that has seen it all. What could that be? And then he says; "fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the WHOLE DUTY OF Man, for God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing"(vs. 13-14 kjv). These words" fear God" simply means to love, reverence, acknowledge and serve God, living your life according to the precepts laid down in His word(the bible). As the song writer put it this "Trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey". So did an author John Mason wrote in his book "Is more money, a higher position, or more influence, your goal? Mind you, these are not goals, instead they are the by products of true goals...
Seek not success, but truth and you will find both. Work to become and not to acquire. My dear, measure your wealth by the things you have which you would not exchange for money. "Pray this simple prayer when you wake up each morning" lord, above all else, help me to spend this day loving you and carrying out your will. In Jesus name, Amen!
