The Eternal purpose of God for all His children is to separate them from others. From one generation to another He has consistently displayed this desire.
Right at the beginning, He made a garden out of a wild world. Noah was separated from the world that was destroyed. Abraham was taken out of his native country to another one. Israel was preserved in Goshen. While the whole of Egypt was ravaged by plagues.
And when Jesus Christ was about ending His earthly ministry, He told God to keep His disciples from the world(John 17:15- 17).
God wants you to be different from the world. He wants you to draw closer to Him, even if everybody identifies with the word system. His plans for you demand that you present yourself holy and blameless before Him. Others may behave as they like and not be brought to book, God has decided to personally sift you from the negative influence of the world.
You may not like it but He has decided to do it. You know why?. It's because He has better plans for you.
Ask God for grace over temptation. Ask God for grace to be patient. Ask Him for grace to trust His judgement. He knows what is best for you, though He may not give you the details. He has a place specially made for you.
He did not give Abraham the details yet He personally took him to where He promised him.
He will do the same with you in Jesus Name Amen.
And the Lord said unto Abraham after that Lot was separated from him, lift up thine eyes and look from the place where thou art.

We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. We are set apart to show GOD'S glory. We are in the world but, not of the world.

I disagree.
God wants us set apart when it comes to righteousness but we need to remain in the world so we can impact the world. The disciples couldn't impact the world if didn't interact with it.
Both Abraham and Lot were righteous men. It's just that they, their servants, and their flocks were too numerous to stay together.
And you can't take Old Testament passages and use them to indicate what God wanted for the church.
