Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 NASB

A lot is at stake in what we say about ourselves because, death and life are in the power of the tongue.

People die because of something that was said. The Tongue can be a weapon of mass destruction. The tongue can also lead to the death of marriages, families, friendships, hopes, careers, dreams, understanding, reputation, missionary efforts, governments and churches.

People also live because of something that was said. The tongue can be a tree of life, refer to Proverbs 15:4. The tongue reconciles people and makes peace, "Blessed are the peacemakers”, refer to Matthew 5:9.

The tongue can make relationships and marriages sweet, families strong, and churches healthy and united. The tongue can give hope to the discouraged, advance understanding about things and situations and spread the gospel.

So what will come out of your mouth today: death or life? “Sword thrusts” or “healing” (Proverbs 12:18)?

Today, choose to make your mouth “a fountain of life” (Proverbs 10:11). Be “slow to speak” (James 1:19). Encourage more than you criticise. Look for opportunities to speak only kind and tenderhearted words (Ephesians 4:32).

Say something sweet and affectionate to a loved one at an unexpected time. Make it a habit to only speak words that are “good for building up,” that “give grace to those who hear” (Ephesians 4:29).

You are God's beloved child and He has not given you the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Never again should you confess you can't for "we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13).
Never again should you confess lack, for "Our God shall supply all of our needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

Never again should you confess fear, for "God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7).
Never again should you confess doubt and lack of faith, for " our God has given to every man THE MEASURE of faith he needs (Romans 12:3).
Never again should you confess weakness, for "We that know our God shall be strong and do mighty exploits (Daniel 11:32).
Never again should you confess supremacy of satan over your life, for "Greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

Never again should you confess defeat, for "God always causes usvto triumph in Christ Jesus" (2 Corinthians 2:14).
Never again should you confess lack of wisdom, for "Christ Jesus is made unto us wisdom from God (1Corinthians 1:30).
Never again should you confess sickness, for "By His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5).

Never again should you confess worries and frustrations, for we are "Casting all my cares upon Him, who cares for us" (1 Peter 5:7). "IN", Christ we are "care-free."
Never again should you confess bondage, for "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." (2 Corinthians 3:17).

Never again should you confess condemnation, for "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus" Romans 8:1.
Never again should you confess loneliness, Jesus said, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (Matthew 28:20). "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).

Never again should you confess curses or bad luck, for "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. (Galatians 3:13).
Never again should you confess that your loved ones or anyone is not saved, "God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world" (John 3:17). "For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost." (Luke 19:10).

Never again should you confess barrenness for with God you bear much fruit (John 15:5) Your womb is open (Genesis 29:31) You are fruitful (Genesis 1:28)
Never again should you confess that you are poor or broke, Jesus though He was rich, yet for our sakes became poor so that by His poverty He could make us rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)

The confession of our mouths will eventually bring forth the things we which we speak.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21)
