When Jesus began his public life, he announced that God had sent him to "bring the good news to the poor ... to announce freedom to the prisoners and give sight to the blind; to release the oppressed "(Luke 4:18). These are promises that we can certainly apply in our personal relationships and decide to act to seek the healing of the wounds of the past, seek reconciliation and find health and freedom. Yes, sometimes this takes a lot of time, sometimes all of life. But God will always be with us throughout the process, helping us to forgive and not lose hope.
