The faith that saves is like a seed that needs to fall on good soil to grow and multiply. That is why the order of the Apostle Peter is perfectly understood in the passage we are studying from 2 Peter 1: 5 "Add to your Faith Virtue", it can not be left as it is when it is received, but it has to grow. Faith as fruit of the Spirit is best translated as fidelity. In Romans 1:17 we find an appointment made by the apostle Paul of Habakkuk 2: 4. "For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed by faith and to faith, as it is written: But the just shall live by faith."
