Cows normally give birth to one child (Calf) at a time. But when it gives birth to more then one, it is considered an historical event. People consider it a good omen.
For Almost an year Calf is not supposed to be separated from Cow. Usually it takes 8 to 10 months. Even after an year Calves are treated gently. People leave them in fields to eat on their own. Those who prepare their cows for competitions don't let their calves in fields, but they take care of them. They feed them with butter and with finest of vegetables and meat.
People have made farms specially for cows. They feed them in controlled environment. They treat every cow the same. Mostly these are the companies who sell milk. They preserve the milk and sell it in packs. There are also butcher houses where they butcher the cows and sell meat as well.
Competitions are arranged by local people, They keep prizes for the heaviest cow, They also have different categories like beauty, how cow walks, and how powerful is the cow. People in Large numbers gather to watch these competitions. Winner's posters are hung in whole city. People arrange these competitions during different festivals.

People also take great care of their COWS for EID UL AZHA, Muslims Holy day where they sacrifice their beloved dairy animals in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim's sacrifice of his child, In Eid 70% of the meat is divided between the poor and deserving. Government arrange Markets where people can sell their animals for EID. They decorate their animals with different lockets and chains. Every person who can afford an animal buys one.
