Woe Is Unto Us If We Preach Not The Gospel

The people of this world know how to promote the things they love and will go every mile to give it the hype they deserve. Not so much can be said about Christians and the things we love.

Those of us who have tasted and have witnessed that being in Christ is nothing is the greatest privilege and it is nothing to be compared to anything in this world hardly testify to unbelievers.

How would they know the kind of joy we have in our heart if there is no one to testify about Christ to them? How will they know about the value of our salvation and the goodness of the Lord towards mankind if we remain silent?

Our churches are filled with a lot of people who claim to be christians but it is just the few who have taken upon themselves to tell the untold about the gospel that got us saved.

We should learn something from the Samaritan woman. She was a an adulterous woman and had lived a wayward life in her city.

The day she had a true revelation about the Messiah was her turning point. Her encounter with the Lord really changed her for good, indeed the true light which shines before every man that comes into world shone on her.

She didn't hesitate to let the the whole citybof Samaria hear about Jesus Christ. She testified about her encounter and that made a lot of people believe in Jesus Christ.

Now many of the Samaritans of that town believed in Jesus because the woman had testified, “He told me everything I’ve ever done.” So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there for two days. And many more believed because of what he said. They kept telling the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, because now we have heard him ourselves, and we know that he really is the Savior of the world.”John 4:38-42

We have heard about God's word many times but how many times have we endeavour to share with others the things we have heard, read or witnessed?

It is a shame if we cannot tell the world about Jesus. It is shame if we are shy to proclaim the good news to the lost and it is a shame if can't let our class mates, colleagues at work place, friends, family members and strangers we meet know about the Lord Jesus.

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason for boasting, because I am compelled to do this. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! 1 Corinthians 9:16

Woe is unto us if we don't preach the gospel.
