There could be such times in life when it seems like God has distant himself from you and the more you try calling him the more heaven remains silent to your cry. I believe they are the difficult moments in our christian life.
Moments when you hardly get answers for your prayers and it is like your prayers have been bouncing back at you and not towards the direction it suppose to go.
God sometimes hide himself from us for a while for reasons, some of which have been given in the bible to guide us and to help us as we walk with Him. Sometimes His anger may cause him to hide himself from us:
I hid my face from you for a moment in a surge of anger, but I will have compassion on you with my everlasting gracious love,” says the LORD your Redeemer. Isaiah 54:6
He sometimes test our faith, and also to see how we will respond to issues when He is not on the scene. Jesus knew or had a fore knowledge about the great storm when will threaten the life of his disciples yet he slept. This was a moment he wanted to see their faith in him and so prentended not to care about their predicament.
And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? Mark 4:35-40
He hides for a brief moments but always brings us back because of his great love.
For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. Isaiah 54:7
All we need to to do in moments when God seems distant is to keep praying, asking for his mercies and grace. He will definitely show himself at the right time.
He will not let His anger consume us if it is about our sins neither will he abandon us if it is about testing our faith in Him. His compassion never fails
