Repent Or Perish

The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life the Bible says. Sin does nothing to our lives but to destroy us and deprive us of the perfect gift of God. Nothing draws God away from us but sin, it makes His ears too heavy to hear our prayers and to reach out to us and be of help.

We shouldn't allow our bodies to be tools for sin that we should obey its desires rather we should dedicate it as a living scarifice that is pleasing and acceptable to God.

We should not hide under the grace and continue living in our sins and think God will still be merciful. God is merciful but also judges and punishes. This should not skip us.

In the time of Jesus some Galileans suffered worse experiences in the hands of Pilate and died. Others too died accidently. The people at that time drew Jesus attention to these worse things that had happened to some people and Jesus told them what to do so they will not face the same fate:

At that time, some people who were there told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. He asked them, “Do you think that these Galileans were more sinful than all the other Galileans because they suffered like this? Absolutely not, I tell you! But if you don’t repent, then you, too, will all die. What about those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them? Do you think they were worse offenders than all the other people living in Jerusalem? Absolutely not, I tell you! But if you don’t repent, then you, too, will all die.” Luke 13:1-5

Jesus made them aware that they are not special from those who died because of their sins. He mad them aware that unless they repent they will also die or face the same fate.

Many believers of God are like these Galileans who consider some people more sinful than others but in the sight of God sin is sin and a judgment that is mett on one sinner applies to every sinner.

There is no way God can be unjust, when it comes to sin He deals with us accordingly. Nobody will escape from his judgement for we will all appear before Him and will be judge according to our deeds.

See no sin as little or small but make a conscious effort to put stop to it. If we conscious about what sin leads to then we will be mindful of how we live our life. Let's choose life and not death, let's repent from every sin.
