A Large Part of Being Clergy

We hear it enough, but is it something we're really all good at? As clergy, it's one of our main duties to look out for each other, whether we're making a bad choice, harming ourselves, depressed, etc, but does everyone actually keep this at all times? Does everyone say what needs to be said regardless if it hurts the other for a time being, or go out of their way if another is being attacked falsely, or if we know they're doing something unhealthy or damaging or self-harm do we try and help without letting others know that could also help? Are we using the right words in communication as that is an essential key whether the person wants to listen or not?

Truth is, most of humanity are afraid to say something or too stubborn to listen. An example of us being too afraid to say something is kind of like the Bystander Effect. The bystander effect is a social psychological phenomenon in which individuals are less likely to offer help to a victim when other people are present. The greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help. Several factors contribute to the bystander effect, including ambiguity, cohesiveness, and diffusion of responsibility that reinforces mutual denial of a situation’s severity. Then there's just not listen which is usually caused by pride and ego even if the person knows what they're doing is wrong. As clergy we are to rise above this and help each other and others. What we're feeling doesn't matter, what we need to do is help everyone, there are enough of us where if one person is drained another can step in their place. Just a gentle reminder to all of our duty and to constantly stay at our best in order to serve the Lord as even our Imperial Regent has hopes that we're all wise enough to find the balance to remain healthy and continue on with the mission.
