Fear of fasting, I think, is a clear demonstration of how difficult it is to relinquish man's wisdom and embrace God's wisdom to receive His gift of autophagy.
True Chuck! His thoughts are so much higher than ours and we become masters at justifying why His ways are sometimes unattainable. Of course with His strength, we can accomplish so much more than we think we can. I don't have a fear of fasting. It just takes discipline and determination.
Finally giving up coffee during a fast was my final yield to shed my fear of sacrifice during a fast.
