COUPLES MUST BE GOOD MANAGERS OF RESOURCES AND AVOID WASTAGE

Everyone in the family and the woman, especially, must learn to be prudent with all the resources that God has bestowed on the family.

For your love to last forever in marriage, You and your spouse must be good managers of resources, finances and blessings. One of the major reason why couples disagree is when one or both partners don't know how to manage what they have.

Of necessity, couples must learn the basic principles of financial management. You must be able to sit down and plan how to:

1. Manage the family income.
2. Increase the family income.
3. Reduce and avoid unnecessary expenses.
4. Make some savings.
5. Plan for the future of the family.

Couple and anyone who wants to succeed in life must learn to avoid waste. Don't buy what you don't need. Don't spend money on irrelevances. It does not make economic sense cooking food that is more than what is required. Everyone in the family and the woman especially must learn to be prudent with all the resources that God has bestowed on the family. In Proverbs 19:14, the Bible states:

House and riches are the inheritance of the father's and the prudent wife is from the Lord .

NOTE THE FOLLOWING

1. If you are not prudent with what you have, it will soon finish.
2. It is not the abundance of what you provided that makes you relevant but how well you use what you have.
3. Wastage is not the nature of God. Even in the Scripture, the Lord Jesus said to His disciples in John 6:12:-

.....Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

1. Endeavour to live within your means.
2. Don't walk with people that will encourage you to live beyond your income.
3. Be a good planner of what you have and utilize same positively.
4. Recognize the difference between wants and needs. Trust God to bless you with needs and avoid wastage on wants.
