GENUINE CONFESSION AND REPENTANCE, RELIEF TO THE ONE WHO CONFESSES

Brothers of the SteemChurch community: Peace and love.

"Because I declare my iniquity, I will afflict myself because of my sin." Psalm 38:18

When we sin, and practice an act contrary to God, already His Word; do we feel a temporary remorse or deep repentance?

I say this because I believe there is a difference in such feelings.

Because when we err, and feel remorse in its superficiality, after a certain time, we return to practice the same errors, or others even worse, whether with the same people, with others, or against ourselves.

While true repentance does not, it leads us to feel a deep sadness that will mark us in such a way that will motivate us not to make those mistakes. John 21: 15-19

At least we will go day by day to seek to stop practicing them, where by this diligent attitude will perfect us in the day to day, even knowing that we do not reach perfection in this life. Philippians 3: 12-16; Ephesians 4: 11-16

But the Word tells us that when we are in Christ, we are perfect. Colossians 2:10

That is, I am perfect for God, when I am in Christ, the perfect one.

Being so loved, we then need to seek to confess our sins to God, and when it is the case to our neighbor, always with a truly broken and contrite heart. Psalm 34:18; 51:17

For God will never reject him.

He will welcome him and strengthen him so that every day he will turn away from sin, thus drawing nearer and nearer to God.

All sincere repentance will generate in us a deep pain in the heart, in our spirit, so that by confessing God can forgive him and reward him with the relief of his true forgiveness.

Having thus, the slight and free conscience of the feeling of guilt that plagues us, leading us towards a stage of existential degradation.

Sadness by virtue of sin generates and brings us hope.

Only God is the true source of healing and protection for those who confess their sins to Him.

The Holy Spirit does not accuse us in sin, but always warns and counsels us in relation to them, so that we deviate from it.

That is why it is written:

"That which conceals their transgressions shall never prosper, but that which confesses and leaves them shall obtain mercy. Proverbs 28:13

Let us think about this with diligence and intelligence.

In the grace and peace of Jesus Christ.
