THE TEACHING OF CHRIST TO REPENTANCE
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen of steemchurch ,peace be with you all
Many are those that loose their purpose they were created. In the beginning that man sinned and as a result distance ourselves from the Kingdom. But the merciful God still have some plans to bring us back to Him REPENTANCE
"MARK 1:14-15
1:14And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
1:5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River".
God has promise mankind that, if we porcliam and confess our sins before Him. He is a just God to forgive and forget our sins and rather will give us eternal life. Christ begins his ministry with calling to Salvation. This salvation can be only achieve when we repent from our sins . Christ after his work on earth ascend to heaven and now calls on all mankind to Repent from their wrong ways. Is this not enough to show the Love God have for mankind. For God always do not want man to meet his wrath.
Why is it necessary to talk about the Love and wrath of God
Repentance begins when the heart and brain of mankind starts to turn away from sin to the word of God;
Behavior changes and Repentance are not the same thing. Someone can say I have stop drinking, that does not mean he/she has repent.
Regrets does not mean Repentance, for if you regret and do not ask for forgiveness you will not be saved.
Matthew 27:3-5
Hebrew 12:7The act of given does not mean Repentance .

James 1:27c
For the above reasons , it will be good for mankind to bear a fruit to salvation by showing repentance . For those who do good things without repentance have no salvation for repentance simple is turning your back to the world and deeds of the devil and adhering to The word of God.

We all sin but we must strive for holiness. We aren't saved if we persist in sexual sin.
(1 John 1:9 NIV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
It's not enough to confess your sins and repent. You need to accept what Jesus did on the cross as payment for your sins. You need to accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord.
Excellent point regarding the difference between regrets and repentance. Judas had a sorrow for his sin. But it was not a godly sorrow that lead to repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
