Serving Righteousness

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, peace be with you all

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin--

Romans 6:7-16
6:7 because anyone who has died has been
freed from sin.
6:8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
6:9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.
6:10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
6:11 In the same way, count dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.
6:13 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.
6:14 For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
6:16 Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey--whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

In the book of Romans Chapter 6, the Apostle Paul was teaching as about how SIN become shame by the power of the Cross. The power of Sin became of no effective when Jesus was nailed to the cross. Jesus did not server sin but he became sin so the Apostle Paul was teaching us what Christ has made us through his eternal sacrifice on the cross. The power of sin was broken by the cross.

Rightheousness made the power of sin of no effect by nailing the evil desires to the cross with him: that part of you that loves to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that your sin loving body is no longer under sin's control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin.

In verse 13, upon the strength of what Christ had done, we ought to present our bodies that is the individual members of our bodies not as an instruments or a tool of wickedness, to be used for sinning . But give yourselves completely to God every part of you for you are back from death and want to be tools in the hands of God to be used for his good purpose.

In general for a person to be able to live such life, first of all there must be a knowing. That is not just knowing but a revelational knowledge of what Christ has done. Let all come to this knowing and lived to this knowing .

Our bodies are the temple of God that his spirit dwells in. We should not use it as a tool for sin but to present it as a holy sacrifice to God. Thanks for the word
