Enoch, the man who walked with God

Enoch, however, was put in evidence for being different from the others. It is true that he was born, had sons and daughters. After all, Enoch was not an alien. However, the text does not say that he died. In a time of corruption, Enoch walked with God. Having been different, it had a different direction.

21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and fathered Methuselah.

22 And Enoch walked with God, after he begot Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

24 So Enoch walked with God, and he disappeared, because God led him. Gen.2.2.21-24

1- Walking with God is more than a simple religious practice, is relationship with God.

To be a Christian is to walk with God, living according to the precepts of Christ, since he is the way (John 14.6).

"Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by me."

2- To walk with God is to do his will, to follow his course, his direction (Psalm 40.8).

"To do your will, my God, has pleased me, And your law is in the middle of my heart."

He who walks with God is not free to do anything or go anywhere, but he is free from many bad things. What may seem to be a restriction of freedom is, in fact, a guarantee of freedom.

3- If a man walks with God, no one can prevent him from moving forward (Rm.8.31).

"What, then, shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us?"

The Lord guarantees our progress towards the goals he has for us.

3- Who walks with God is never alone or helpless (Psalm 37.25)

"I was young, and I have aged, And I have not seen just helpless, Nor his offspring who beg bread."

Well, he has the Lord as a companion, friend and constant help.

In conclusion, Enoch did not walk with God only for some time. He persevered (Mt.24.13). If we continue on the path, we will arrive at God's good place for us. Enoch's experience became a symbol of the rapture of the church.
