Have hope, God is faithful
The fact that we are alive to see this day in this new year speaks volumes of God's love and faithfuliness. If we can simply convince ourselves of this love, knowing that life is more important than silver and gold, then we have hope that out expectations will be met.
Hope had no place for dissapointment and does not put us to shame. Hope is one force that will keep us going when all else fails. The New Webster's Dictionary of the English Language defines hope as a Confident expectation that a desire will be fulfilled.
Why should one hope in God?
Life is full of various types of challenges. That is why we must continually trust and hope in God. These challenges include the following:
• Delays in overcoming difficult situations
(Job 19:1-27)
• Delays in receiving healing and other miracles in your life. (Psalm 6:2-3)
• Delays in receiving victory over opposition from enermies.
• Delays in receiving the anointing and the gifts of the holy spirit for the fulfilment of your christian ministry.
• Unemployment, lack of promotion in your work place (including christian ministry) and other business problems.
• Difficulties in having children all or the number of children you desire to have.
• Difficulties in getting married and settling down.
• Delays in the fulfilment of God promises in your life.
How is your hope? Does it bounce back after being hit? Does it cause you to doubt when you lose hope in a situation? God knows that we all struggle with finding and holding onto hope. When you are facing tests of faith, even the strongest Christians can find it a challenge to find hope.
