THE WORD OF HIS GRACE
‘So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified’ (Acts 20:32).
When one becomes born again, he or she is like a spiritual baby and will have to grow. As you put yourself fully under the teachings of the Word of His Grace, it will automatically build you up and make you effortlessly inherit God’s promises for your life (1 Peter 2:2; Hebrews 5:14; Acts 20:32).
The Word of His Grace is the same as the Word of Faith, Word of Truth, Gospel of Peace: it is simply the Gospel of Christ, it is the too-good-to-be-true news that Christ brought to us on the wings of His death, burial and resurrection.
Therefore, let every experiences, dreams or prophecies that do not line up with God’s Word be ignored, as they are lying vanities. The Word of His Grace is the More Sure Word of Prophecy that we have now. Halleluiah!
Never forget that, anyone who has accepted the sacrifice of Christ is a new creature. The Bible says: He is a NEW CREATION, and not that he will be. He is one who never existed or pre-existed, He is altogether a brand new man, with a new kind of life (Zoe). At the point of being born again, the old man (psuche) died, and the new man (Zoe) emerged.
This birth is not a rebirth, because to God this man never had a past, nor existed. He is a brand new person with a new life. The new creation is born of God. Again, the new creation is not remade or refurbished. He is not just endowed with a new character; he/she is born with the very nature of God in his spirit. Glory to God!
As at the time of writing this devotional, to the glory of God, I have gotten thousands of people filled with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. Some even received the Holy Spirit over the phone. I remember one funny episode when I missed a call on my phone and had to return it, only to find out it was someone I didn't know and from a city I had never been to. Hence, the fellow apologized. But guess what?Before the call ended, I got him filled with the Holy Ghost to the glory of God. How he blasted in tongues that day. These testimonies are common with many people in our church, as well as with many other ministers in the body of Christ. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever! What He did as at time past, He is still doing now through many, and you are one of them in the Name of Jesus.
Maybe you are in the class of those that don't believe or speak in tongues, "because {you} don't understand it and {you} can't speak a language {you} don't understand."
Beloved, the fact that you don't understand it is proof-positive that it's from God, since that's what the Word of God says. "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful” (1 Corinthians 14:14). The same verse is render thus in another version: "When you speak or pray in an unknown tongue, you don't have to understand what you're saying because the words come from your spirit and at that time your understanding (that is, your mind) has no part in it" (1 Corinthians 14:14; TEV).
