STEEMCHURCH - You Too Can Make An IMPACT

Hello everyone,

Greetings to all Parishioners. Often times, I have seen and heard many people say they don't have anything to offer just because they are financially unstable. Some will argue that impacting in someone's life has to do with money. They believe that once you are not able to take care of yourself financially then you are nothing, and have nothing to offer meanwhile those set of people are loaded with knowledge, wisdom, and great teaching skills yet they think money is all that matters. I just want to remind us that money isn't everything. Yes, we need money to be able to survive, but it is not the end game. Most of us are not buoyant that we can share with the whole world, but we have other things that can make an impact in the lives of others. I also want to let us know that in order to impact financially, we mustn't be the likes of Bill Gates, RiRi or any other popular celebrity that has contributed so many to humanity. The truth is that if you cannot share your 10 cents with anyone who's begging for 1 cent to be able to feed then you won't give any dollar to anyone no matter how much you have.

Impacting in people's life comes from the heart. You must have that passion of sharing with others before you can make any impact if you don't like to share the things you have then it will be so difficult to make an impact in the world starting with those around you. This has nothing to do with your religion, it has nothing to do with your race, but it has everything to do with you and your mindset. How you feel when you see someone in dire need of advice, knowledge, cash, tutor or mentorship matters a lot. The fact is, no one is worthless no matter what you think of yourself. We are all blessed with something that we can use to help humanity and make it a better place for all of us. As believers, it is important to God that we use what He has given to us to impact in others, and not keep it to ourselves. As I write this, God knows I am not financially stable yet, but I know God has blessed me with wisdom to His glory if anyone calls me for cash, I can only offer from the little that I have, but if anyone calls for advice, that I can offer at 100%. I take my time to listen to people no matter what they have to say. My friends will always call me for one advice or the other, and the funniest part is that whenever I need one, they don't even listen to me. They will end up bringing up theirs, but it's ok as long as they are happy.

My point is, what are we doing for humanity? Have you shared the knowledge that you have with anyone? Are you a good listener or you don't have time to listen to what they have to say after all you are not affected in any way. Do you rather spend money on 10 boxes of chocolate rather than give to a beggar money for just a box of chocolate? We have to be passionate about the impact on people's lives and make it a point of duty to do whatever we can. I know everyone mustn't be smart especially those that are still in the university. Some students are so smart while some are struggling so hard to deal with Mathematics. Are you a student with good knowledge of your course, a good teacher yet you are not willing to help those that are struggling especially if they are trying so hard to learn. I have seen students that create time from their busy schedule to teach his/her classmates the area they find difficult to understand for no cost. It is all about your selfless service to others. It could be anything at all. I encourage us this morning to search deep down our hearts and see what we can do to help others rather than doing nothing.

I must say making an impact on others comes with joy unspeakable just in case you haven't been doing it. Honestly, I am always fulfilled whenever I get a thank you from someone. Most times, we don't have to do so much. Just a little goes a long way. Let's not keep our knowledge to ourselves and probably go to the grave with it. It will be a huge waste. Let's not keep that care and love to ourselves. They are a lot of people out there dying to be loved by someone just a simple call does the magic. They want someone to show them care maybe because they don't have any family member left. Imagine showing care to such a person? We can all do this starting today. It's better late than never!
