During the 2015 election in my country, the then new incoming party came up with a slogan "CHANGE" They listed everything that was wrong with the present administration and offered solutions to those problems. Nigerians were tired of that administration and wanted to have a different party in power. So, we all believed in their change mantra. We all came out in masses and voted for this new party just because we wanted to change. Three years down the line after so many promises, the change is nowhere to found. Things are getting worse by the day, people are dying of hunger on a daily basis. Most of us believed we were all deceived. The truth be told, change is change, and the only thing constant in life, but the kind of change is what matters.

Change can come in different ways, it could be a lower change or upper change. As believers of the gospel, God wants us to change from glory to glory, and nit from shame to shame. Generally speaking, a change could be for better or worse. Remember that each time a baby is born, somebody elsewhere just died, while some people are getting richer some people are getting poorer. So, the question is what kind of change do you want? if you want a positive change to be sure that your thoughts are pure godly thoughts which is one of the ways to get a positive change from God.

We all want to have that positive change in our lives. We pray to God to change our situation, we ask Him to change our lives to something better. No believer prays for a bad change. We all want our finances to change, our status to change, our career to change to something better, but the thing is what are we doing to get that positive change we all desire? Change is all about getting to the next level, but let's not forget that the way we manage the storm of life determines how far we can go in life. Let me break this down; Assuming. I've got a job that I am being paid $500 monthly, but with my qualification, I can get a better job of $1,500 monthly. Now, how I handle my present job matters to God and man. The bible says we should not look down on our little beginning. God is also watching how you are able to manage what He has given to you before He will change it to something better. This means we all have a role to play in this transition.

Do you want a change?

Well, it all boils down to the kind of change you desire if you want to have a negative change then it's okay to keep complaining, murmur, and be angry with God just like the children of Israel in the wilderness. They wanted a positive change but went about it in a negative way and their journey was extended to forty years. Now, if you desire a positive change, you must play your part by being positive. Here are some of the things we have to do to get that positive change;

GET TO THE SOURCE (JESUS):
Some people want to have a better life, but don't know how to go about it. Jesus is the truth and the way through him all good things in life come. So, if you want a positive change then come to Jesus. Accept him as Lord and master. Don't just complain, murmur, backbite, and get angry with the world. Jesus is the source of that change we all need. Talk to him and let him know what you need or which area in your life that requires change. He is willing to listen and change our life for good.

GET ALONG WITH JESUS:
In order to have that desired change, we must go along with Jesus. We must be ready to follow Him and obey whatever we are asked to do. God is interested in our personal relationship with Him. He wants us to have that unique fellowship with Him. This means, our relationship with him must be stable in order to get that positive change we all desire. The bible says the thought He has for us is that of good, but the question is how will we know His plans if we don't get along with Jesus?

IDENTIFY THE CHANGE YOU NEED:
This might come as a shock to some people. The truth is most people don't know what they want in life which makes it difficult for them to identify the area of change in their lives. God sees and knows all things, but He still wants us to tell Him what we want. In such cases, they ask for a better job today, and the next day asks God to keep their present job because they love it. This is very confusing. In order to have that positive change, you must first have a deep reflection on the areas you want to change your life then ask God to visit you in those areas.

SPEAK FORTH THE CHANGE:
There is power in the spoken word. As believers of the gospel, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us which makes us unique. The power of God is upon us that means our words are not just ordinary. They are powerful. The bible says as we speak in his ears so shall he do for us. So, when we speak forth positive things into our lives, God listens and He shall grant them, and bring them to life. Do you desire to have a positive change? speak to that change on a daily basis and act it. Believe in what you say with all your heart, and believe it shall be granted unto you.

STAY POSITIVE:
One of the ways to get that positive change is to stay positive. See positivity in your current situation. Remember the promises of God and be happy for them. Sometimes, things can get real bad, and unbearable but being positive will surely do more good than harm. Staying positive means having total trust in God. Knowing God is in control of everything in our lives and that it will surely end in praise. As we all know the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in any heart filled with bitterness, and hatred. Staying positive is having pure godly thought, and hope in Christ Jesus.

In conclusion,

We are expected to give thanks in all things whether good or bad, So, it doesn't matter what you are currently passing through what matters is that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Having a positive change is simply divine visitation from the Almighty God who will never disappoint those that trust in Him alone. I pray God will bring that change we all desire in Jesus Name, Amen!
