STEEMCHURCH - Overcome Your FEAR!
Hello everyone,
What is your biggest fear? What thoughts give you sleepless nights? What kills your happiness whenever you think of it? Today, I want to flash our minds to this Bible verse. This verse is one of the most popular verses in the Bible. Most believers can recite it offhand, most of us say it all the time whenever we find ourselves in difficult situations, but the question is, do we really believe every word of it or we say it because we are used to saying it? Do you recite this verse because you heard it from other believers or probably have read it more than once from the Bible?
Let me share a story; Growing up, I had a lot of fears. My life was surrounded by fears. I lived in fear. Well, maybe because I think too much or probably still getting to know and understand God in totality. I had this fear that I was going to die from my sleep, and it was awful. It got worse that I became afraid to sleep at nights. I also had this fear of the unknown. I was always scared of my future, scared of what will happen next, it goes on and on, but thank God for His word. At a point, my fears took away my happiness. I was no longer happy about life. One day, I thought to myself why not confront these fears and take it to God in prayers. The Holy Spirit opened my spiritual eyes to this Bible verse and I realized how much I allowed the enemy to control my life.
According to Bible Scholars, there are 365 'fear not' in the Bible although I haven't read the whole Bible hence, can't ascertain this fact some argued against it though but let's assume there are 365 'fear not' in the Bible or even less. One thing is certain; the Bible has a lot to say about fear. Listen to what the word of God is saying in Isaiah 41:10. For whatever reason, do not fear. Fear is one of the tools that the enemy is using to cage and manipulate the hearts of men, and before you know what is happening, silly ideas will begin to crawl into one's mind. The Bible says God have given us (believers) the spirit of sound mind not of fear. The Holy Spirit is dwelling in us. So, whatever fear that you are nursing right now please beware that God is with you. Let it go! Believe in the word of God and His promises for He that is in us is greater.
There is nothing we cannot overcome with the spirit of God. All we need to do is to tell off those fears with God's word and it will flee. Most of our fears are not real. It's just a picture that we are trying to paint in our minds. We already have the presence of God with us. He has kept His own part of the agreement by giving us the strength, upholding us with His righteous hand, what is left for us to do is to ride on this and confront that fear that weighs us down. Fear does a lot of damage to our soul both spiritually and psychically. While we entertain those fears, we place limitations on ourselves, but listen to this once again; DO NOT FEAR!! We are more than able to overcome through Christ Jesus.

I congratulate you on this post @ammyluv. I remember the protection of a town called Israel. because when seeing that blood the destroyer could not access the houses of the Israelites, that is why we pray that the blood of Christ will cover us and protect us in whatever way the evil one may take us.
