STEEMCHURCH - Be Still, GOD Will Fight For You

Hello everyone,

Greetings to all Parishioners. Today, I want to talk about my favorite Bible verse. This Bible verse has been on my lips all my life, and it has also manifested in several ways in my life. The word of God is true, His word is a miracle itself once you believe in what it says. Often times, people read the Bible without knowing how powerful it pierces the heart more than any other book we can imagine. I know a lot of us find it difficult to recite some these verses offhand, but most of us have favorite verses that we know like the back of our hands.

This verse is everything to me. I meditate upon it every now and then especially whenever I am in a fix. It has been a strong tower all my life, and I would love to share with everyone. I got to know this verse through my sister-in-law. There was a time, the whole world seemed to be crumbling around me. I was lost, but this particular verse found me and gave me the hope that I wanted at all cost. Of course, we all know the story behind this verse, and why God said it. The children of Israel were afraid of Pharaoh, thinking they were never going to make it through the desert. Pharaoh had everything to capture the children of Israel except one thing which was the power of God, but the children of Israel didn't see it from that angle hence, we were afraid and blamed Moses for bringing them out of Egypt. On the other hand, Moses haven experienced God first hand told them to stand firm, and watch deliverance come to them. He told them to be still and watch God fight for them. This is so deep! Moses was calm in the midst of chaos because he knew God never fails. The story behind this verse is super amazing. It shows how true God is to His word.

What am I saying? My message to you today is that whatever you are passing through, no matter the chaos, and how real things are right now, stand still and watch God fight for you. Do you know the amazing thing about this verse/ The role that we get to play is so little? Ours is to be still. Some translations will say "hold your peace", "You must be quiet", and one version says "You don't have to do anything". Yes, we don't have to do anything for God to fight for us. We don't have to help Him or be worried about how He is going to fight the battle, ours is to be still.

Are you being cheated?
Are you being accused wrongly?
Are you being misjudged by others?
Are you tired of being maltreated by others?
Are you trying so hard to let people know that God is on your side?
Are you being rejected for the sake of Christ?
Are you the only one standing?
Are you faced with chaos just like the children of Israel?
Are you tired of explaining to people of your true intentions?

Whatever thing you are passing through that requires God to fight on your behalf, please hold tight to this Bible verse, and don't give up. Who can battle with the LORD? Not even that sickness, not even that demon, not even the most powerful and wealthiest man in your community. Please, be still and don't give up for He will surely come and save you.
