STEEMCHURCH - #2 Life Lessons
This is the part 2 in the life lessons series. If you haven't read the first part you can read it here
Some one just sent me a video on "Time and Pace" In this video, a teacher was speaking to his students on why they shouldn't feel bad in life. According to him, there is time for everything in life. We operate base on our time and clock.
You may look at your friends and think they are ahead of you or even behind you, but remember everything happens at their own pace.
Then, I remembered that I've seen a write-up somewhere about it;
"Someone became a CEO at 25, and died at 50, while another became a CEO at 50 and lived till 90. Obama retired at 55, while Trump started at 70. Everyone is running in their own time"
I also want to share a true life story:
My cousin graduated from the university with a first class, but couldn't get a job. He applied to virtual all the companies in town yet nothing happened. He was so frustrated about life and almost killed himself.
I encouraged him to try other things just to make ends meet. Thankfully, he listened and started up a mini importation business, but kept applying for job vacancies.
One evening, he received a mail for a job interview with an INGO. At first, he was scared, but decided to give it a try. A month after the interview, he was called to take up the job. My cousin spent 7 years after graduation looking for job, but most of his course mates got theirs immediately after graduation.
Four months into his new job, he was sent to another State to carry out some audit work. On reaching the premises, he meet one of his course mate at the gate as the security man. This said guy got a well paid job after NYSC and everyone thought "he has arrived" but unfortunately the company folded up along the line so he was back to square one.
Everyone has their own timeline:
In life, you don't need to worry about what other people are doing. You don't need to compare yourself with anyone. You need to be YOU and focus on what is right for you. You may look at others with lands and gold thinking there will be no more land for you to acquire.
You are not late! Yours will come at the right time. There's no point feeling bad about what others have achieved, the clock will definitely rotate as long as you do not give up. I also want you to know this, there is reason for everything in life that you are not there today doesn't mean you won't be there tomorrow. Work with your time and pace and be on your lane. The world is a free lane and its okay for anyone to overtake. Be happy for others and your time come when other's will be happy for you.
Don't expect much from people:
They say "Expectation is the mother of all disappointment"
Back then in school, a friend of mine lost her both parents in-car accident. She was in her final year when this happened, life was so difficult for her.
One day, she came to school feeling so bad about life. She told me how she called one of her uncles that her dad paid his tuition fees in the university and was doing so well, but after explaining everything to her uncle how she hasn't paid her fees for the First semester, he turned her down that he doesn't have any money to pay for anyone's school fees. She wept all through the night and remembered how her dad would put everything on hold just because he has promised his brother some cash.
I felt so bad, but told her never to expect much from anyone and put her trust in God. Most people don't care how much you've sacrificed in life for them to be comfortable. They are not willing to help and will give you 1001 reasons why they can't help at the moment, but this should not stop anyone from doing good onto others. Help people because you want to and not because you want something in return. The biggest disappointment in our lives are often the result of misplaced expectations. Do not put your trust on any man, but God.
Givers Never Lack:
Back to my friend's story. We talked about it for a while and left. I tried to cheer her up and told her something will come up.
Two days after, I got a call from her that someone called her from London. According to the guy, her father helped him a lot when he was broke and had no one to turn to, but when he got to the UK, he lost her father's contact and has tried to reach out to him ever since.
The man got to know her dad was late and felt so bad, he didn't reach out on time. He asked my friend of her needs and promised to send down some cash to her which he did. My friend was able to fee pay her fees a month later and had some left to take care of herself.
Everyone has something to give in life. You can give your time, money or talent to those in need around you. You don't need to have the world under your feet to give. Everyone will agree with me that giving is a universal law. This law favors anyone that gives. It doesn't matter your religion. The law is very simple "The more you give, the more you receive"
Each time, I give out anything to anyone, I don't see it from the angle that I am giving to that person. I give out because I am meant to help those in need and God in heaven will duly reward me. When you give without being compelled to do so, you are releasing more blessings unto yourself. The question is, why were you given in the first place? You were given so that you can also give to others in need.
Giving is all about planting a seed which will germinate and produce seeds not from the receiver, but God. Giving is an insurance cover for yourself because when you give those in need, God will also place people in the right places to help you when you are in need.
This write-up is high-powered, full of life lessons that everyone out there must practically understand.
Thanks for sharing!
