Obedience releases the power of God.

Dear readers, the Word of God for your Church does not change its content: be it ministered by servants who visit us or responsible for the local Churches. She must be ministered with authority and without detours.

Throughout the Bible, we observe this important reality: The Holy Spirit releases His power, from the moment we take the step of faith that touches the heart of God.

Let's make ours, the steps of Jesus.

At the moment when Joshua and the people faced the insurmountable obstacle, the waters of the Jordan were not opened because the priests placed their feet in the tumultuous waters, but in an act of obedience and faith. Obedience releases the power of God.

God always expects us to take the first step. We do not expect to feel strong or confident about ourselves. Let us advance even in our weakness, in spite of fear or our feelings. Only then will we cooperate with the Spirit of God: our character will be formed.

If efforts do not fully cooperate for our salvation, it is largely completed in our spiritual growth. That is why the New Testament frequently exhorts us to strive to grow in the likeness of Jesus. observe:

"Therefore, dear ones, awaiting these things, see that they are immaculate and irreproachable in peace". II of Peter 3:14.

We have to give up our vain ways of acting from the past. We are already born again, we are new creatures: the "old man is no longer". Paul had that care in announcing this mystery:

"That, as for the past deal, you are stripped of the old man, who is corrupted by the lusts of deceit and renew you in the spirit of your sense." Ephesians 4: 22-23.

Our thinking also has to change. Paul observes again, but now to the Romans:

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your understanding, so that you may experience what is the good, pleasant and perfect will of God." Romans 12: 2.

And adds:

"Because, by the grace that is given to me, I say to each one of you that he does not know more than what is advisable to know, but that he knows with temperance, according to the measure of the faith that God distributed to each one". Verse 3

Glory to whoever is on the Throne.

God has good, nice and perfect plans for his children. He wants us to become people with new minds: totally renewed. He wants us to live to obey Him honor.

Let's make our habits, the habits of Jesus.

Our character is essentially the sum of our habits: the way we behave. The Bible will always be like this. The Word of God never leaves us only informed. She instrumentalizes us and trains us:

"And you review yourselves in the spirit of your sense". Verse 24

Shield. What his Word wants to teach us is not to put one uniform on top of another. We have to get rid of all this clothing of the past, so that there is no more contagion.

Beloved, we need to live genuine Christianity. We have, (with heard recently) be aware of our new identity. Being a Christian is much more than the simple name. It is a "Seal" that left the mark The Holy Spirit. Amen.
