I welcome everyone again today to my blog. Today we will be looking at, and doing one of the most crucial and essential things a christian needs at every juncture and everyday in his christian walk.

It is with the heart that one practically does everything, with the heart you believe unto righteousness, with it you operate in faith,with it you relate with fellow human beings. Basically the heart is the center of almost all if not all of human activities and therefore should be taken Care of adequately

Pro 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life.

Our lord Jesus pointing to how important the heart is related it to treasures saying

Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The sins of the heart are very poisonous and are so because most times they are there without the carrier even giving much thought to them, they are in fact cancerous. The chief of them being unforgiveness, a man can harbour unforgiveness for so long he sweeps the issue under the carpet .

#A CANCEROUS HEART

Forgetting what Jesus said when teaching us how to pray

Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

The heavens closes over an unforgiving man, he ceases to recieve forgiveness the instant he stopped forgiving others.

Other cases of heart sins includes envy, jealousy ,malice, hatred a whole lot of others deep seated in the heart of believers making them look all righteous on the surface before men but they have rotten minds, part of what the bible addresses when it admonishes us

1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

These heart cancers are blinding they dwell in a man till he is consumed by it. If he doesn't seek help in time, worship life is hindered, peace of mind is gone, no joy of salvation and making a man prone to attacks

Let's take a look at Cain, the brother to Abel, sons to Adam and eve, obviously raised by a father who had meetings with God, saw God. So to an extent we can say Cain knew the ways of God, yet this cancerous sins of the heart were his issues, anger, jealousy, envy deep seated in his heart. Even God came to intervene. Yet he fell to it

Gen 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

Gen 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

A constant heart check keeps us safe, humility to accept what we find after the check is important, no wonder David the man after Gods heart made this prayers.

Psa 19:12 Who can understand [his] errors? cleanse thou me from secret [faults].

Psa 26:2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

Before we end this heart talk let's do a quick heart check , at your convenience honestly answer this questions to know where your heart stands towards the lord, his work and fellow man.

1 Do I have a worship heart?

Does the lord occupy my thought through out the day?

Can I freely express my love openly to God?

Do I love righteousness?

Am I quick to agree where God convicts me?

Can I honestly say there is no unconfessed sin in my heart?

Do I have a broken and a contrite heart?

Do i have a forgiving heart?

Do I have a praying heart?

Do I pray for my church, fellow believers even lost souls?

If revival depended on me will it ever come?

Am I truelly surrender to God?
