 John 19: 2
And the soldiers wove a crown of thorns, put it on his head and dressed him in a purple robe

The crown was the culmination of ridicule towards our Lord Jesus Christ, making it painful for him, for that crown of thorns means that he was a true King, "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" what for the Roman soldiers was a mockery for humanity it was a teaching of true love, which had two functions: the first that of the suffering servant and the second; the one of the king you used to conquer.

Jesus Christ endured pain, shame, humiliation and ridicule for us to give us eternal salvation and to remove from us the curse that is the consequence of the sin that weighs on humanity.

Many present us with the thorn crown as an ornament, and not as what I truly mean pain and suffering for our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is only redemption in the blood of Jesus Christ, he not only shed the blood to rescue us, I experience the deepest pains as punishment for the sins of man.

The Roman soldiers, after putting the crown of thorns on our Lord Jesus, bowed before him saying, "Hail King of the Jews!" Which they did in a mocking way.

Matthew 27:29
And weaving a crown of thorns, they put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; And kneeling before Him, they mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
