THE SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE

GOD is a powerful Man, and He needs nobody to be GOD. He is GOD all by Himself; with Him dwells the spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. There is a product that separates a man and makes Him unique; there is a product that differentiates a man from his contemporaries and enemies.

It is not an ordinary virtue; it is not a gift that is possessed by all. It is a virtue or gift that makes a man stand out and be noticed. GOD is in the business of making mockery of the enemies of His children, He puts them to total shame and disgrace. This product comes in a man’s life and changes his life for good, it qualifies him for whatever.

Daniel was an ordinary man, as a matter of fact he was a slave, and it was understood that a slave like him had nothing to offer. His look did not matter, if he was handsome and good looking that did not matter to the king, what the king wanted was a man that possessed the gift of interpreting his dream and that was what he was after. I want you to know that a man that has nothing to offer is not recognized; he cannot be honored and sought after. What you possess will make people look for you.

Daniel had the spirit of excellence; hence he was a blessed man that made him distinguishable from the rest, including the magicians and astrologers. GOD put this spirit in Daniel because he knew that was the only way Daniel could be free, He went as far as causing the king to have a dream which no man could interpret and for the first time the magicians and astrologers that were the big guys then, could not interpret the king’s dream, GOD ceased their ability just because He wanted a man to be recognized and exalted.

We can do nothing on our own and that is why every Christian should always depend and follow GOD with all humility and patience. The book of proverbs promises us that our gifts shall make room for us. It shall create space where everywhere is filled up; it shall make men create a space for you that does not exist just because they need to have you.

If only you will recognize that GOD loves you a whole lot to make you a success in the land of the living. GOD doesn’t put a man on earth and not tell him how to walk on it, GOD cannot abandon you because He knows you won’t know the way.

If GOD was not with Daniel I am pretty sure he wouldn’t know he had such a gift. I am telling you that as long as you are a child of GOD, this product, the spirit of excellence has been deposited in you.

Because GOD wants to see his children excel in the land of the living He deposits certain things in them that will announce them and make them recognized by all. Did you notice that this gift Daniel possessed lifted him to the seat of the governor and that made his contemporaries jealous? I am sure to some extent that some of them would have gotten heartache because it would have been too much for them to handle, that a slave could become their governor, who would ever believe?

I believe so much in asking GOD questions, although we didn’t see where the Bible said Daniel asked GOD what was deposited in him but we saw that Daniel was a man that had a good relationship with GOD, so they sure would have discussed.

So return to GOD in the place of prayer and ask Him of your own spirit of excellence, that particular gift that distinguishes you from every other person and that will make men look for you and not have rest until they have you settle their case for them.
