How can I help Steemit to grow
The Steemit needs the help of all of us to grow and become a healthy environment that attracts investors and valuable writers. Some of us help to work as the developers, witnesses, admins of the communities, others join club100 or talk with friends about the platform actively promoting it. Today I would like to write a bit about all that I am doing, present you my newest project and invite all of you to participate in it.
I am promoting Steemit in every possible way. I am trying to talk with friends about the platform, sharing some posters, I also used to make the newspaper with the most interesting articles that I was leaving at language schools and lobbies in the hotels in Rosario. Recently, I was interviewed for Clarin, which is one of the biggest websites with news in Latin America. The interview was about a totally different subject, but I mentioned Steemit and said three-four sentences in which I tried to explain what is it and why it's attractive. I don't know yet if that put has been cut by the editor, because the portal did not agree to the interview proofreading, but I remain optimistic. The interview will be on the website on Monday and if the Steemit will be mentioned there, we will have a colossal advertisement for free - the advertisement that could reach hundreds of thousands, so... I'm keeping thumbs :)
Besides that, I am having the Steem-Travelers community that may not be as big as Steem-BRU, but it constantly grows and is visited by many great authors every single day. Taking care that booming support is distributed properly and fighting plagiarism on Steem-Travelers is the way how I contribute to the success of the platform.
The newest project - fighting with plagiarism alltogether
Finally, yesterday, I have created a community where we all can fight plagiarism and abuse on Steemit. It's called Anti-Cheat Cheetah and it was made after the announcement I've shared in this post where Steemcurator wrote the comment sharing their opinion.
The community will be based on two activities:
1)) With the help of the admins of multiple communities who will be sharing with us the links to the plagiarized content, we are going to track the abusers and prepare the list of the cheaters every week. That way, the person who plagiarized multiple times in community A and was blocked there, won't be able to go to community B to do the same thing. Steemians who plagiarized more than twice will be blocked in all communities from the project instantly. Currently, a plagiarist well known as the cheater in community A can share original content once for a while (or not be caught) in community B and get the booming support there.
For now, all the work will be made automatically, but in the future, thanks to @alexmove, that process may be partially automatized. Ac-cheetah will be cooperating with Alex, using his tool and sharing 50% of the rewards with him, which should partially cover the cost.
2)) In the nearest future, we are going to launch the downvote trail with the help of our partner, one of the well-respected users. The trail will be used to accumulate big SP with which we will be fighting plagiarism and spammers. The trail is a much better option than delegations because it uses only downvote VP, not interfering negatively in our upvote VP. Delegations freeze some SP and do not allow to use it to distribute rewards between the authors.
For now, downvoting is also performed manually though. I am pumping STEEM in the new account to help it reach 500 SP in a few days, as it's necessary to vote with a different % of VP.
