Let’s take a moment during this holiday season to chat about our family and social health. I hear a lot of people say, “I have friends that treat me better than you” to family members.
Why is this?
Is there a special preference placed on a family member compared to a friend? It is different for most individuals. Some people prefer to hang out with their friends other their family. Those who are lucky enjoy doing both.

I know someone may say it’s the bloodline that is of most importance, but didn’t that line start with two friends (in most cases) who felt a connection to produce offspring?

Time also plays a role in a friend becomes family or a relative through marriage.

There are many types of family and friends. While you cannot control how many family members you have; you can control the quality of the relationship you share with them to coexist together You also can control the quantity and quality of friends you hang out with.
You should treat them the way that works for you. Which way do you treat people? What kind of friends do you prefer. Are they living on the edge? Do you like them care-free, risk takers, adventurous or do you admire the conservative friend?

How many true friends do you have? A true friend is a Steemian whose actions towards you are responsible and caring. Would you consider a true friend someone who say they’re your friend but then:

• Treats you in a way you don’t like being treated
• Persuade you to act in ways that are bad for your health or against the law

During, this holiday season spend more time with your close of kin and true friends.
