Anger! The first feeling... But soon came the moment of truth and finding the true nature of platform... Yes, you can earn dollars on the platform by just liking or even recruiting bots (so you don't even have to click!)... But when you look more closer, you find out not everyone is gaining money by just clicking upvote or commenting things like "nice post", "enjoyed it" and ... It's really about quality... I surfed around too many accounts and posts from negative reputations to top ones... And one thing was common among all of these accounts, whenever you post something you are really into it, the quality comes after it, and when the quality comes you get the benefits... It's just a matter of time and effort...
So, no matter you earn thousands of dollar from one post, or not a single penny from 100 posts, you just need to be passionate about what you are doing in the community and let your mind be itself... Although the 100 posts example may means that you are just posting following the wrong idea of "More Posts = More Money".
This is very optimistic to say if you put effort on something you like, you will receive the reward at first try... It is not how the Steemit community shaped and it is not how the real world shaped. This is where my own fears come. Let me give you an example, My First Post! I like photography so I decided to have my first post featuring one of my own photos. Well If I want to be optimistic, It was not bad for the first post, but let's face the other side of the coin!
Today I decided to write about my experience on Steemit featuring an experiment from TED2019. I started writing and writing... But suddenly it hit me... Should I put this much effort on my second post while I know It's not going to get that much attention? And this was the moment I stopped writing a content that I was passionate about while considering good quality. It was depressing the first 30 minutes... But then I came to reality again, It is exactly like what I explained above. It was exactly just like upvoting and posting low quality content without considering the platform behavior. Let's think you are going to mountain climbing, are you going to climb by means of a car, no matter how much money you paid for that (the effort you put on your work), or by your feet? We all want to be at the top of the Mountain, we all want to be at the top of the Steemit. So you have to choose the right tools for the right purpose. How did I do that?
I kept my second post on a hibernation state, while spreading my ideas and thoughts through other people posts! You know what we call it! Commenting! And you know what's the fun part? Commenting and posting on Steemit platform takes the same amounts of credits. It seems the Steemit community knew it at first sight! So how it works? I look for the content I like and may someday post about it, review it, and If I feel that post deserves it, I comment my thoughts about it! Just it! That's what all posts and even Steemit team asks you... Help the community to have better contents, not just by mass production, by means of quality insurance! And I consider myself that person to insure the quality for myself (I'm not saying everyone should have the same standard of quality)... Who respects himself and the community, put time and effort on the platform, while learning lots of things from other peoples shares... And this is like a chain reaction! When people see comments on their posts, they may want to express themselves more on the other subjects than their own posts... And when it comes my time, I hope by using that experience I gained from other people posts, I'll become one of the people that helping the community grow and rewarding!
And as you asked, as a new fellow here, I really don't know lots of people on steemit, so I'm going to tag you @steemexplorers because you said it! "Help the Community Grow"
I'm going to join your discord channel, by high hopes!
@powerhousecreatives is a fabulous community

I just learnt that they want to change the reward system to 50% for curators and 50% for creators instead of 25% and 75%
