There is a certain amount of admiration for someone who traveled all over the world in those times. I am not sure how positive I feel about what a lot of the missionaries did in those days but they had conviction and many paid with their lives.
We cannot change history, only learn from it. Agree in some cases it came with a heavy price to those living on the land and the visitors.
