Hello there friends!!! 😁

This is my thirteenth post about the Urban Sketchers of Medellín, this was a very special session as it was the third anniversary of the group so we went to draw at a nearby touristic village called Jericó.

Yes it was very awesome to travel to this village and we even got funding from one of the Culture promoting programs from Medellin, so we didn't have to pay for transportation! 💙 kudos to the group's directive board for achieving all this 💙.

Jericó is about 105km south of Medellín but because of the mountainous terrain it takes around 3-4 hours to get there on bus, so we all gathered at 6am at a metro station in the city nearby where the bus would be waiting for us.

This reminded me a lot those school trips when I was a kid where we all were joking and having fun in the bus, so those 4 hours went by quickly arriving at 10am at Jericó.

Once there we made a short reunion for briefing about the village's history and places to visit and remember to everyone we should meet back at the same point at 4pm as we had programmed to head back to Medellín before 6pm, then we all got gifted a t-shirt with the group's logo.

After exploring a bit the village and having lunch, I headed to Centro Bomarzo, which is a sort of Cultural Centre, where they have art galleries, cafés, restaurants, etc and it's really beautiful restored colonial era house with a central courtyard with a fountain, beautiful place which is why I picked it to paint it. And yes this time I chose to work with colours directly over a lightly draw pencil sketch, trying something different, pushing my limits beyond haha.

Ok so let's continue with the Sketches.
