Basic Knowledge in Agriculture #27
Pest management is the preventive measures used by the farmer to reduce the number or population of pests from damaging the crop. Once it affects the plant or crop, it will take a longer period for the crop to germinate. In most cases, if it is not treated at the right time, it will result in losses for the farmers. Farmers in rural areas consider this undesirable because it reduces the availability and quality the crops need before reaching the market in order to meet the final consumers.
Some pests are also harmful to human health when they spread diseases through biting, so we must be able to control them. It is better to apply pesticides before planting any crop so that it can eliminate weeds. Insecticides can also be used to eradicate other dangerous insects that will affect the crop's growth.
We have different types of pests that cause harm to our livestock and crops, requiring more effort to cultivate. The following are the types of pests we have:
• Insects: Farmers normally allocate more resources to fight these unwanted insects because they are numerous. Once you notice holes or tiny eggs in the leaves of your plants, do not hesitate to spray them with an effective chemical. These insects include grasshoppers, beetles, mites, and others. While some can be easily seen flying around your farm.
• Rodents: No farmer likes to see rodents on their farm because when they find an opportunity to enter and eat whatever they like, they can multiply rapidly and cause significant damage to the crops.
• Birds: These are another problem on our farms. Birds can spread disease in the farm, and the nests they build contain dry plants that dirty our surroundings. These nests can be found in unfinished buildings.
• Mites: They are difficult to see which cause damages to the crop to become yellow after eating the leaves.

We purchased caterpillar force in the agro chemical shop. we put the chemical and wtaer inside the sprayer and mixed it together so that it can give us good results we need.
The person he employee to spray the maize do it thoroughly after two or three days we visited the farm we seen some positive change in the crop. although we planted hybrid corn 🌽 when it almost time to harvest it we noticed two maize on a stem of the corn. the above image is the maize we planted you can seen it look healthy and it's wonderful to see positive changes after we applying the chemicals.
