Many months ago - even a year ago the future of STEEM looked a bit more questionable. There's still questions one might have - but things are taking pretty good shape. The price that is establishing itself - reflects the good shape forming.
Investing today into the Steem Blockchain is what I would call pretty low risk. It's low risk because there's been much development and expansion and there is many projects and infrastructure being developed. Think of the smt's as protocol that expands the functionality of the network. Making it easy for anyone or any group to create their own coin and structure it in a way to support the community.
Many applications have been built - and the flood gates have opened so to speak - much much much potential for increased community building and development.

Transparent global network that encapsulates the basic infrastructure to transform the world. Seriously think about that for a moment.
Historically it's been disinformation and censorship that have limited the ability for the good info to be shared far and wide.
We have a platform here that's global - open source - decentralized - and people that are interested in creative collaborations. I mean talk about the basic building blocks for a better world.
I see much new business emerging here. New ways of business. A blurring of the lines between owner/shareholder/consumer/customer.
A real emphasis is emerging on the starting point of creation(s). The best model is always a WIN/WIN. The irony of the win/win model here is that existing win/lose models cannot really compete and are not sustainable. Further irony of the win/win is that it's based on the common sense simplicity that:
When everybody wins - That's perfect - so when the base protocol is developed from such a starting point - the win/win is a rinse and repeat life support generator.
To look at things a different way without being so futuristically utopian,
We have a content creation game here.
The game is available to everybody.
Play however you wish.
It's really about sharing - We can call participation with the Steem Blockchain, "The Sharing Game". It's really about each individual being honest with themselves and playing around with their sharing's. It's in our regard for our sharing's that we ultimately determine the greatness of the world....the game here.
See the real beauty of this sharing game - is that the possibilities are many - it's somewhat unprecedented in terms of the effects and affects - it's a real opportunity to merge the online and offline worlds together. The material and the immaterial. What is beginning to emerge is innovators and visionaries who see how we can create real world things and plug them into the steem blockchain.
It is a grand experiment we are part of, here!
Unlike most cryptocurrencies, this is NOT "just another coin with promises," but a full and genuine ecosystem. And the beauty of it (at least to me) is the fact that it possibly offers the easiest entry point for someone who might have heard about cryptos but sees them as "complicated" or mostly "nerd money."
If you can use basic social media, you can get into cryptocurrency via Steemit. How cool is THAT?
The other "grand" part of the experiment is that we are a sort of training ground in the working of a "Gift Economy." Things here live by the whole "pay it forward" idea. In a sense, people are being softly trained in the idea that "giving is rewarding." And that's really cool, in terms of sowing the seeds for a change in the way the world operates.
I don't want to get overly utopian, either... but lives are being changed here, in places like Nigeria, Uganda and parts of SE Asia where an extra $100 a month from blogging DOES make a huge difference in someone's quality of life.
So yeah, plenty of good reasons to let people know about this community!

Steemit is a very new platform unlike Twitter & Facebook. But why put so much time into Twitter & Facebook when we can develop our skills creating great content on Steemit and becoming better at it and maybe even make a living with Steemit. We can then create great content from anywhere in the world🙂
Steemit is like a hybrid of conventional blogging platform and social media platform, conceived using blockchain technology. So we have three in 1 experience and it's more fun! We can write a post like in conventional blog, we can interact directly with others and we can trade cryptocurrency.
