RE: STEEM: Perhaps the Greatest Asset the World has Ever Known
Amazing to see how steemit’s approach to a social media platform differs so drastically from Twitter and Facebook. The value of the content is shared amongst us steemers rather than going into the pockets of the executives (ie: Mark Zuckerburg). Although I would argue that Mark Zuckerburg and his wife use their money for good causes (charities and medical research). That’s besides the point. We are sitting on a gold mine and steemit offers us (the community) value. It draws us in to share and create and in turn drives up the value. I’ve spent more time on this platform reading than I have spent on Facebook in the past 6 years.
@willshetzel you bring up a very good point about all the value (and money) going back to the users instead of back into the company such as is the case with Facebook, and just about every other social media platform. I also have found myself using this platform much more frequently since discovering it about a month ago compared to Facebook now. I think other users will also feel the same way once its discovered :)
