Steem, Steem Power and Steem Dollars ??? - How it all works.

So what does Steem, Steem Power and Steem Dollars do and how does it effect every Steemit user ?

So if your new to Steemit and hopefully this post will help you to understand how everything is inter-connected.

Steem Best Exchanges is Bittrex and currently is the best to buy and sell as their volume over the last 24 hours is - $233,786
All the exchanges are :- Bittrex, Poloniex, Tidex, Livecoin, OpenLedger DEX and HitBTC
Steem can be bought through Steemit drop down bar and will be taken to https://blocktrades.us ( BTC - STEEM)

Important Note - I bought Steem tokens in Poloniex and there was a problem to withdraw it - it took around three weeks so rather buy on Bittrex Exchange and there is not withdraw limit. If you buy Steem on an exchange and leave it there you will not receive any interest of any profit so best to move it to your Steemit wallet and decide where to invest it in.

STEEM - (Steem can be converted to STEEM POWER in a process called powering up)
It is not a store of value but you buy Steem and every year Steem doubles each year but there is a catch every 3.32 years.
If you want to commit your cash in Steem over the next 2 years with the expectation that you will be rewarded by that growth and attract from followers and your financial gain will increase the more you post and engage with others.
So every three years there is a 10:1 reverse split that will occur to each 10 Steem will become 1 Steem, so your amount of Steem is circulated.
(An example) - So if you have

• Year 0: 250 Steem
• Year 1: 500 Steem
• Year 2: 1000 Steem
• Year 3: 2000 Steem
• Year 3.32: 2500 Steam will then be reverse by a split and you amount is reset back to your original 250 Steem and the cycle will starts all over again, so Steem is all about community and not a few can get so rich but is shared among everyone.

STEEM POWER - (Influence tokens which give you more control over post payouts and allow you to earn on curation rewards)

• Negative Point - If you have Steem Power it is locked up and it will take up to 2 years to be payed back into your account.

• Positive Points of holding Steem Power - The more Steem Power you hold the more Steem will be given back to you (every few seconds)
  I think that around 90% goes to the the person holding Steem Power and 10% goes to those voting or commenting on the post.
  ( If you look at your post and you get most of the money - it is more likely that the figure is too low ( around ) $0 05 then you will receive all the profits.
  You have an option to have 100 % or the default is 50% / 50% / - When posting I always tick on the box or you can decide to decline the payment.
  

STEEM DOLLAR - (Tokens worth about $1.00 of STEEM and you could receive 0% APR)
So each Steem dollar is worth about $1 USD so you can just store it in your account more of a bank vault of safe keeping.
By keeping Steem Dollar liquid it is easy to convert of trade but it doesn't commit any value to your Steem amount.

I recently deposited my purchased Steem into my Steem Wallet and found a very interesting thing was when I click on someones post I can decide how much I would like to give between 1% - 100 %
I have split three ways between Steem Power, Steem Dollar and Savings and you need to decide which is best for you.

So why have a Steemit account you are reward for all your post, votes and activity and you don't need to have any money in your account but you will need to be involved the more followers you have the more you have a larger playing field and people will interact with you but it need to be both ways.

You also need to monitor your badged and this will also have a huge impact on your wallet -
