CALLING THE BOTTOM for STEEM and SBD
I HOPE IT IS, AT LEAST!
We are up SHARPLY over the $1.50 lows, around Noon UTC yesterday, March 18, 2018. Some 30% in Steem and SBD both. SBD is barely staying ahead of Steem, so maybe a HODL of SBD is in order for a few days, keep your eyes open. I just checked prices again, and it has leveled off, and dropped a bit but both are still up ~16% as opposed to 24 hours ago...

It is my expectation that it will "trade sideways" for quite a while, might have some unpredictable humps or drops, but we have another 4 weeks of "Tax Season" in the US, so I expect it could be choppy for a while yet.
AS FOR BUYING
I say it's time to start "DCA" if you are not already. I made this recommendation before in comments and discord about 3 days ago, when it was just right around $2. I was absolutely correct, it did bottom out ($1.50) but I did not think it would go quite that low. Some were saying UNDER $1 which would have been cool for BUYERS, which I hope to be soon. GOOD TRADING, and don't forget to HODL!

I did some bargain shopping today as well, only slightly below my average though...but it is a good time to power up should one want to diversify
Good Move, Matthew! My average steem buy-in is a lot lower than the $1.50 price, but these days $2 is a bargain, IMO. I have some cash I can turn over maybe tomorrow, and I hope it's $2 or lower. IMO it is going to be in this neighborhood for a while, but maybe some volatility. Like $3 spikes with $1.50 valleys? Or Lower? Hard to say, but usually a bottom like we just saw is a good solid floor. If this were late April instead of March, I'd say it's off to the races. 4 more weeks of Tax Season await!!! uh-oh! lol

What does DCA mean?
Dollar Cost Averaging. It means you buy on a schedule regardless of price. Almost always better than trying to catch a low price like $1.50... which means you would have to have been waiting for it, and the hard part, GUESS CORRECTLY... Best way is to be on an exchange that has automated trading, then you can set buy-in points and stop loss orders.
DCA usually gets you more coin and at a better average price than "market timing"
seems like that is the bottom of the year and now its not coming back to that point again

yeah. am sure the deep has not ended. i expect steem the way things are going to hit below 1$ especially by June when google makes good its threat to ban all crypto adverts. best now for those with fiat to stack up steem and hodl.

Interesting timing, but I think it will be up during early May, maybe? Depends on how high it is during that "break", for how low it goes when Google strikes. If the 'recovery' is weak in May, you could be darn close in your sub-$1 prediction! Excellent Points.
As for Goog-iots, I foresee this crypto-ban as a prelude to something new...
