The average quantity of sodium per 'hungry man' indomie park is 1750mg.

Yes, I check nutrition info on food parks, while shopping.
Yes, you should too.

1750mg is pretty high.

Well, that quantity helps to give the noodles a longer shelve life, so that e no go quick spoil for store.

The draw-back with that is the blood pressure endangering risk.

If you are a noodles junkie, you may be at risk.

Much intake of salt through regular consumption of noodles raises the quantity of sodium in your bloodstream and as your body tries to retain more water to wash out the salt, it puts a strain on your vessels, elevating your blood pressure.

If you junk on noodles, chances are you do the same on pastries and other flour confections, and invariably racking in as much sodium as you are exposed to.

Add the consumption of various sources of caffeine like beer, spirit and Nescafe plus the increased anxieties of life, and it's a miracle if you are not hypertensive sooner or later in your lifetime.

We are never too old or young to start consciously taking care of our health. The smart food choices we make today, will impact positively on our health now and in the future.

Speaking of noodles, since it's coated with much of salt that basically makes it non-nutritive, why not try parboiling the noodles, which is by the way, the essence of this post.

Parboiling helps wash out some of the dangerous preservatives and salt content. You should also enrich it with tomatoes, onions, vegetables, even a little garlic for flavour/nutrition and whatever you can afford.

By so doing, you are reducing the junk in the junk food, adding healthy value to you noodles and shoring up your future health with smart food choices.IMG_20171228_150112.jpg
