RE: STEEM Is Leading The Way Into The Age Of Abundance: Steemians Should Take Advantage

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

The main problem i see with STEEM and this article shows this very well, is the money incentives in every aspect of the platform.

There is no room for people who just like to share and connect with others without having to be reminded about the $ sign on every post, video or comment.

As much as i hate Fakebook, one of the positive things i can say about it is, that most people who are using it are there to share and connect, not to get as much money out of each interaction as possible.

Don't get me wrong, i don't mind people earning money for their work, time or content... But the constant money incentives wont lead to mass adoption.

Some people may have stopped being active here cos they didn't see a $500 sign on their 10th post, but some may have left cos all they saw, where people promoting STEEM as it was a pyramid scheme.

Even if you do not care about the profits, if you don't join the buy-sell-my-vote bots, no one will see your post and therefore there is no point staying on this platform. I think the platform need both, people who only care for money and people who dont, as it is right now it only attracts the first group.

And this constant appeal to earn money and promise to get rich if you join early, i think it will turn many people off.

Think how much time you spent writing this post to persuade people only to care about profits, so they too can start writing more articles about profits.

Reminds me about these early bloggers, making money by writing how to make money online, what a waste of human potential.
