Team TUDA would like to apologize for not sending out more updates these past few weeks. Although it is an excuse, we were in the midst of a lot of app changes as well as revising our whitepaper.
Introduction to TUDA
TUDA is an educational project that uses blockchain technology to provide transparency, security and privacy, thus enhancing students and teachers educational experience. It also empowers teachers in boosting their income. We are creating the largest community of only teachers in the world, allowing them to actively engage with one another via chat, and increase their earning potential utilizing Steem's SMT protocol by writing quality curated articles (teaching know-how, educational fundamentals, styles, etc). On top of this, the app is designed to also cater to a teacher's management needs with a utility tool that allows a teacher to manage their schedules with a calendar tool, register their students, and monitor their progress, all in one platform. We currently have over 10k users in the beta version of the platform on the Android platform.
As we continue to build our robust community of teachers, we are also working on incorporating a crowd-problem-solving feature that allows any user to upload a problem set, and any one of our pool of teachers can either solve the problem for free and get paid by our curating feature (SMT protocol) or via the traditional money exchange via our token. Using the curation aspect of our platform, we are also able to verify which teachers are good at solving problems.
Another feature we are working on is MCN-based (Multi Channel Network) video classes. This feature is only for the teachers who are verified. Again, similar to the problem solving feature, they are paid by the curation upvote feature, or via a traditional token exchange between student/parent and the teacher. These classes are also audited and have to go through a user verification system so that we know which are teachers are good at teaching online classes.
Teachers are also able to create curricula that they can incorporate into the classroom. This is where everything gets really interesting. We are building an O2O (online-to-offline) aspect where we are creating physical schools with curricula that are taught via VR/AR. Therefore, all of the adults at the physical schools are not teachers but more like guidance counselors that help customize the right curriculum for each student.

The vision for TUDA’s project is certainly grandiose, but we think that this is the time for change, especially in the educational community. With that said, while we are in the midst of undergoing our private ICO, we would like to open up our initial sale to the Steemit community.

Hello. Thanks for the update. Could you please explain me the benefits of being an investor buying tokens? Besides getting the 25% plus?
Let's say I could invest around 1000 STEEM. What are the benefits of that in short and long term?

TUDA believes that all contents has value and therefore value will inherently grow over time as more and more contents are created on the platform. Coupled with an ecommerce platform where teachers can sell problem sets, classes, and curricula will create the world’s largest educational service platform. To think of this simply, we want to be the Reddit/Quora/Youtube of education that also happens to have ecommerce. No educational company has ever dared to create a global educational service. TUDA will achieve this lofty goal and be the first-mover in those regards.
While the price of a certain token is certainly prone to fluctuations, the fundamental value of TUDA will constantly be increasing. As a result, there is no way to time the price of the token, but earlier investors can be confident that the fundamental value will constantly grow in an exponential curve over time. Content providers that prove the fact that contents is useful are: Youtube (1.65 billion USD valuation when sold to Google), Reddit (1.5+ billion USD), and Quora (1.8+ billion USD).
In the long term, as token holders, even without creating contents, the value of the token will appreciate over time. Unlike STEEM, we have created a hard-cap on the number of total tokens that will be minted, and therefore as value of the platform grows, so will the value of the tokens.
On a less fiscal note, as participants in this platform, you can feel content that everyone is helping enrich the lives of others in a field that is certainly necessary globally. People all over the world can access this platform (on the condition that they have access to an internet-ready mobile phone - this is another problem altogether) and certainly have the option to use it for free. Teachers are earning more by devoting their time not to moonlighting at restaurants and bars, but by participating in a community that fits the profile of what they have always wanted to do. Students are getting access to more and more education. Parents are finding comfort in that there is more transparency in the interactions between teachers and students.
