Great! nevertheless... I'm not sure to fully understand what's the aim of this improvement for... :-(
I guess it should be related with the awaited HF20 but, still don't understand why editing older post than 7 days is so important...

That is important! for updating outdated data on the blockchain or replacing broken links or etc
for example, we have many instructions for running a steem node, but most of them are useless because of blockchain updates!
We should search for months to find a working guide! this improvement can help many projects.
That's correct... this is probably the most important use of this change... it will certainly help...
