##UPDATE - Poloniex is messing with prices

A number of people have requested that I do informational posts when the price of SBD moves above or below the $1.00 mark.

As of a few minutes ago, the price of SBD has spiked to $0.07 over $1. If you think the price will remain above $1.00 for the next 7 days until your posts get paid out, you can get greater rewards by choosing the 50/50 option when posting. If you think it's just a spike or an anomly, then you might be better off to continue posting 100% Powered Up.

Remember, no SBD is getting paid out at this time due to the debt ratio (SBD) to Steem being too high. However, you should get a larger amount of liquid Steem paid out in place of that SBD.

Have you been following the prices of Steem and/or SBD?

Gosh prices look all over the place. I'm still bent on Powering Up. Been block trading some Doge for Steem, from 80 to now 251 Steem power.

Good for you to keep powering up. I hope it pays off handsomely. It's nice to have a little more SP. I like seeing the vote power increase. And then you have some to delegate if you so choose.

It's just weird Poloniex behavior, everybody else is still .98.

I'm going to make a math post about whether to choose 50/50 or 100% sometime soon.

Thanks for helping out. I was looking up the prices to see if I could get more info, and I discovered just that. Poloniex is weird. It's strange that Busy only uses the one exchange for their info.

Looking forward to seeing your post!

Oh, good ol' Poloniex.

And then there's Hitbtc, which has been absolutely insane for months, currently at $9.27 USD. Thankfully, they get ignored and have very little volume now.

I figure that they should come up with a system to automatically exclude outliers. If an exchange gets out of line from the other ones, it should just ignore it.

I pretty much think that's what happens on Steemit, for the most part. The indexes take a little longer to figure it out, but then they settle it down, too. It's just odd, though. Either they're ramping up the price for their own entertainment, or there's a bunch of people throwing money at SBDs that can't read an index.

I have no clue. It seems that the price has continued to climb though. SBD prices are back up, and the price of Steem has continued to rise as well.

24 hour volume keeps climbing, too, so something's going on. We haven't been over a million in volume for a while, and it's been longer since we've been over 2 million. Not record setting, but maybe encouraging? Did you hear about DLive yet?

That's a pretty good volume. When we got down into the $0.67 range I was thinking that it would be a good time to buy, but I wasn't set up for it. I think I missed my shot for now. I'm betting that it's going to climb fairly steadily for a little while and then plateau again.

Yeah, I heard about dLive. It's not so much that it's going to hurt Steem or Steemit, it's more that a lot of people are feeling used and betrayed... because they were. I won't be using dlive's new site.
