NEW TO STEEMIT??? YOU NEED to do this!

Hello Steemians/Steemers!

I'm pretty new to Steemit but have learned a few good things in a short amount of time thanks to other Steemians who've contributed to Steemit by giving us "sperm" of minnows a little advice. If you search in the right places and upvote the right people, you can succeed on Steemit.....WAIT, what? No NO NO! If you apply yourself and contribute to Steemit by commenting, upvoting (the right people and posts), and blogging about things people care about you too will succeed. Damn! I seem to have it wrong again, or do I?

Okay, here goes. There's so many different ways of becoming a minnow, dolphin, or a whale. You're new, it's confusing, I get it! Follow people who have content that is posted everyday but no more than 5 times a day. Get it? Too much posting gets you muted. Too little posting gets you no where. Everyday, with something good to bring to the community is just right and right where you want to be. You won't be rich overnight.....or even after a few weeks. But! After some time of being consistent you will become someone who your followers look forward to hearing about!

Things to do if you're new or not getting anywhere on Steemit:

1. Don't upvote a blog within the first 30 minutes of it being posted. Why? You really should've ready the FAQ but to sum it up really quick like, you're just giving most of the possible Curator Rewards to the Author. I'm sure the Author appreciates it but Whales want to Curate something of value. Your blog post must have value to add of course.

2. Don't post every couple hours or even more than 2-3 times a day. You're going to flood any followers you have with whatever you post and if it's not something that they want to see, you get muted or worse unfollowed.

3. Understand, you are new and have very little influence to the community until you prove yourself a worthy Steemian who's providing the Steemit community with GOOD content.
