No, authors safer actors here, they receives Steem Dollars which backed by STEEMs, so if exchange rate of STEEM will drop, authors will get more STEEMs for every Steem Dollars. For example, if STEEM exchange rate drop to 0.01$, author will get 100 STEEMs for every Steem Dollar.
So,...if value of STEEM drops to 0.0$, you get infinite STEEM coins for 1 SBD? :D
